IL PROGETTO
The overall objective of this project is to develop an integrated decision tool, based on different epidemiological modelling approaches and risk assessment techniques, for the design of cost-effective, risk-based surveillance systems. This tool will be developed and evaluated considering different infectious animal diseases of relevance, transmitted by direct contact, to provide a wide spectrum of epidemiological conditions. One major animal disease for each of three participating countries (Italy, Spain and Israel), whereas the Dutch partner will specifically work on the development of the general methodology and application of epidemiological analysis techniques for these case studies.
