Ud'Anet Lab
Where research becomes reality:
experimentation, prototyping,
and applied innovation
Ud’Anet Lab is a technology experimentation environment where Ud’Anet designs and tests applied research, experimentation, and prototyping activities. Its goal is to turn emerging technologies and research outcomes into concrete, testable, and deployable digital solutions. It’s the place where we validate approaches, tools, and methodologies before they become part of projects, platforms, and services. For us, innovation ultimately means turning ideas into tangible results, delivering real impact, and building solid foundations for growth.
Innovation methodology
Technology evolves rapidly, and the risk is often chasing trends or investing in unsustainable directions.
For this reason, Ud’Anet Lab operates as a structured technology experimentation environment, providing a clear pathway where ideas, technologies, and methodologies are progressively analyzed, tested, and validated. The Lab’s strength lies in combining vision with practicality: we select what truly matters, turn it into prototypes, and test it in real-world conditions—ensuring that technological decisions are driven by evidence, not assumptions.
Cross-functional experimentation,
supporting all Ud’Anet capabilities
Ud’Anet Lab is not a standalone unit or a collection of parallel initiatives; it is a cross-functional function that continuously supports and strengthens all of Ud’Anet’s operational areas.
The Lab carries out research and experimentation activities aimed at analyzing, testing, and validating emerging and innovative technologies. These activities take shape as prototypes and demonstrators—practical tools used to assess effectiveness, integration, and adoption potential—and to turn experimental solutions into tested assets, ready to evolve into products and services.
Within this framework, Ud’Anet Lab acts as an internal enabler of innovation and technology transfer: it connects complementary expertise, integrates methodologies and tools, and consolidates replicable approaches, helping make innovation more robust, scalable, and sustainable.
In line with Ud’Anet’s mission, the Lab also strengthens its connection with the local ecosystem—businesses, public institutions, and the research and higher education sectors—by promoting experimentation that generates tangible outcomes in terms of competitiveness, skills development, and the ability to adopt digital technologies.
The Lab’s activities are structured around five key directions, aligned with Ud’Anet’s main areas of expertise. In practice, however, these paths are often integrated and interdisciplinary: a single project may combine Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and IoT, digital platforms and AI, training, gamification and data analysis, and even immersive AR/VR experiences connected to content and information systems.

IntellySafe Edge System and the collaboration with Info Solution
IntellySafe Edge System is one of the cases where Ud’Anet Lab has acted as a driver of applied research and experimentation, supporting the transformation of an idea into a concrete, testable prototype system ready to evolve. The project was developed in collaboration with Info Solution s.r.l. and is part of the field of autonomous vehicles used for monitoring, surveillance, and security in the logistics sector, with the goal of supporting operational processes and value-added services without the need for continuous, direct human involvement.
The result is a prototype system designed for 24/7 automated surveillance, featuring mission planning, sensor and actuator management, and alert mechanisms, integrated with Artificial Intelligence systems. It is designed to be adopted across multiple application contexts, including security, industrial environments, precision agriculture, healthcare, material handling, inspections, and first response operations.
The project was also selected as a finalist for the “Campioni di InnovAzioni 2023” National Award, with its presentation scheduled at the Aurum in Pescara.
Social robotics for the future of edutainment
Sensing Robot and the collaboration with Lisciani Giochi
Sensing Robot is one of the cases where Ud’Anet Lab has acted as a lever for applied research, supporting—together with Lisciani Giochi—the evolution of a highly innovative concept into a pre-industrial prototype ready for validation and further development.
The project aimed to develop a “caregiver” social robot for children, capable of detecting and classifying the user’s emotional state and adapting interactions and content accordingly (educational, learning-oriented, therapeutic, and entertainment), through the integration of infrared thermal imaging, computational psychophysiology algorithms, and a cloud platform for data processing and AI.
Within this process, Ud’Anet contributed directly to the development of interaction models and intelligent agents (including analysis and testing of neural networks, behavioral logic, and APIs for AI–cloud communication), as well as to the implementation of the computational device, applications, and cloud infrastructure supporting the robot.
The project also builds on an already established industrial collaboration with Lisciani: Mio Amico Robot achieved sales of several thousand units within just a few months, representing a concrete market benchmark for the evolution toward more advanced social robotics solutions.

Generative factory for audio-visual production powered by Generative AI
The New Star System and the collaboration with The Digital Company
New Star System is one of the initiatives in which Ud’Anet Lab, in collaboration with The Digital Company, has explored and enabled an end-to-end production model based on generative AI technologies, with the goal of making content creation scalable and industrialized across film, media, publishing, entertainment, and education. This work has led to the creation of Star System Studios, a generative audio-visual production hub designed to combine quality and speed, supporting fast delivery workflows and a service ecosystem that spans the entire creative pipeline—from scriptwriting to translation and localization (up to 170 accents), through to full audio and video production, animation, music, and sound design, including support for distribution and marketing. At the same time, the experimentation has resulted in the development of concrete, replicable outputs for storytelling and content delivery—such as audiobooks, podcast series and seasons, solutions for programming and news production, conversational agents, courses and educational content, digital humans, multilingual audio guides, and more—aligned with The Digital Company’s positioning as an innovation partner for the culture and media sector.
